Who? What? When? Blacks in Consulting and Technology (BiCTech) is co-hosting a Women's History Month panel with Inclusive Innovation Incubator (In3) on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at In3 (2301 Georgia Ave, Washington, DC 20001). The panel titled "Beyond the Vision Board: Inspired Women Who Are Living Their Dreams" is five women and one man engaging in candid conversation on the difficulties, disappointments, and joys they have experienced turning their professional dreams into realities. We also brought a man in to provide his perspective on how men can be better advocates for women pioneers in and out of the workplace.
How are we defining success? Success in this setting looks like people who have moved from doing what they need to do to doing what they want to do. For some, that looks like being a lead at their job; for others, that means starting their own business; or completely pivoting career paths.
Why? We couldn't think of a better way to kick off BiCTech's year-long empowerment series than creating space for men and women to share their experiences with those who may glean power from these pioneer's truths. We also love connecting with our community and the concept aligned perfectly with In3's Grow and Glow series! Grow and Glow is an integrated program (seminars, networking events, and workshops) highlighting women, focusing on women and targeting women. Grow and Glow program is to showcase and provide a platform for women in business, technology, leadership, entrepreneurs in various industries including sports and entertainment.
